RECREATIONAL MUSIC MAKING IS NOW HERE FOR YOU
It’s a great stress reliever and lots of fun to
do.
No instruments to learn to play and no practicing at
home just sit in on the class and start playing today
and have fun!
The concept of recreational music making is based on
the fact that anyone can have fun while reaping the
benefits of making music. This is not an activity based
on exceptional performance and learning many techniques,
but rather on feeling free to be creative
on any level of performance.
There
is no right or wrong, only what you think sounds good
and what makes you feel good. To accomplish this, our
goal is to create an environment in which
everyone will have fun, be inspired to
play often, and to be free to create his or her own
sounds and rhythms.
Since most recreational music making takes place in
groups, another goal is to create an environment where
people work together and develop sensitivity to the
other members of the group. This socialization process
promotes bonding and a strong feeling of belonging.
Music making is intellectually stimulating.
As Karl Bruhn, recognized as the father of the music
making and wellness movement has said: "Recreational
